Colors' CEO Raj Nayak's War with Star Plus Out In The Open
Everything is fair in love and war. That's what the broadcasters of Bigg Boss believe. Colors has taken a dig at Star Plus' slogan, and obviously Star Plus is not amused by it
Until now, it was a dignified war between Star Plus and Colors where both parties put their best foot forward only to outrun each other. Suddenly, Colors has decided to throw caution to the winds.
Competition ka zamaana hai. Maamla garam ho chuka hai.
Competition ka zamaana hai. Maamla garam ho chuka hai.
Sample Colors' CEO Raj Nayak's latest tweet, which has become the talk of the TV industry.
Raj Nayak is riding high on the launch of Bigg Boss 10 and is hoping that the show will be a game-changer for him.
And, no prizes for guessing that Raj Nayak is taking a dig at his arch-rival. Star Plus had gone all out with their TV campaign from October 16, which began during the ongoing India- New Zealand ODI series, with the cricketing heroes playing messengers of the ‘Nayi Soch’. In the campaign, M S Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane proudly wear their mothers’ names on their jersey instead of their own names or their fathers' surnames, acknowledging the fact that one derives one’s identity as much from one’s mother as one’s father.
Apparent Reason: Colors has been beaten for the last 4-5 weeks. Star Plus has been No.1 across both markets Urban and Rural Hindi speaking markets.
A source says, "Who takes a dig at slogans? 'Nayi Soch' is Star Plus's slogan- Rishta Wahi, Soch Nayi. The fact that Raj Nayak did, clearly states that Colors has decided to leave no stone unturned in running this race which has now obviously become unhealthy."
Let's wait and watch if Star Plus hits back. Over to you, Uday Shankar.
